Mountain Biking and Hiking
Ski Apache completed 5.5 miles of mountain biking trails with a grade between 6 and 8 percent (steepness). New Mexico offers a perfect mix of desert and mountain. Cruise through trails covered in pinon pines and juniper trees while enjoying the expansive scenery. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced rider, we have a variety of terrain for you to explore.
For those that enjoy hiking, we have trails for the adventurer and the beginning hiker or walker. You’ll find beauty in the Ruidoso area amongst the Sierra Blanca Mountains, exceptional views, and sizable terrain. We offer five miles of hiking trails, and if you get too tired on the way up, don’t worry; the ride down is on us free of charge. Thrilling Zipline Experience
Take a ride on our thrilling high-elevation ZipTour and enjoy the incredible views. You’ll fly down the mountain at over 60mph! The three-part ZipTour reaches over 8,900 feet in length, making it one of the longest ZipTours in the world. This adrenaline-pumping experience is equipped with parallel cables so riders can glide down side-by-side.
Scenic Gondola
You’ll feel on top of the world (or at least southern New Mexico) when you witness the panoramic vistas from the top of Ski Apache. Enjoy great views, wildlife sightings, and relaxation as you are carried through mountains. Gondolas are an excellent activity for you, your friends, and your family!
Skiing and Snowboarding
When the snow falls, come shred on some of the best warm-weather powder skiing in the world. Ski Apache has over 750 acres of skiable terrain and 55 runs and trails ranging from beginner to advanced. The alpine peak of Sierra Blanca is over 12,000 feet, has a vertical drop of 1,900 feet, and annual snowfall of 15 feet. New Mexico’s great weather and high-elevation mountains make it an excellent destination for winter sports.
